Nel tempo è riuscita a creare uno stile unico che spesso mescola il trucco gotico con abiti dal sapore vittoriano. H.Naoto’s work has reached some international acclaim in recent years as he has worked with singers such as Amy Lee of Evanescence for the 2004 Grammy Awards: “I call it my ‘princess corpse’ dress”.

Amy Lee designed her own Grammy gown and then chose Japanese designer H. Naoto to execute it. The two found each other when Amy wore H. Naoto’s wares for a magazine cover shoot in Tokyo earlier this year.”

H.Naoto ha raggiunto il successo internazionale recentemente lavorando per artisti come Amy Lee degli Evanescence, realizzando per lei il suo vestito per i Grammy del 2004: “L’ho chiamato il vestito della ‘principessa cadavere”.

Amy Lee ha disegnato personalmente il suo vestito per i Grammy e poi ha scelto lo stilista giapponese H. Naoto per realizzarlo. I due si erano incontrati a Tokyo in occasione di un servizio fotografico di copertina poco tempo prima.
